Shenzhen Hygieia Biotech Co., Ltd. (referred to as “Hygieia”) was founded in 2019. It is a national high-tech enterprise and specialized new enterprise with synthetic biology as its core, integrating the entire chain of “bacterial design, enzyme engineering, fermentation process, purification process, and compliance declaration”. The company has built a Zymevolver @ strain evolution platform and enzyme engineering platform, which covers 500+standardized biological enzyme libraries for oxidation-reduction, transamination, hydroxylation, methylation, decarboxylation, etc. It can quickly respond to the biosynthetic needs of high-value natural product small molecules.
It has been recognized as a national high-tech enterprise, a “specialized, refined, unique and new” enterprise in Shenzhen, a technology-based small and medium-sized enterprise, an innovative small and medium-sized enterprise, and a synthetic biology certified enterprise. Authorized over 10 invention patents; Two software copyrights led and participated in the development of four group standards (T/SZAS 32-2021 “Production Specification for β – Nicotinamide Mononucleotide Enzyme Method”, etc.), and are currently applying for national “Little Giant” enterprise status。
Hygieia always adheres to innovation driven growth and collaborates with top academic institutions around the world to build an open research and development platform. Recently, the company has undertaken and participated in multiple vertical and horizontal projects such as the University of Hong Kong, Fudan University, Zhengzhou University, and Mosi Biotech in India. It has jointly published high-level papers
and conference abstracts on the in vitro efficacy evaluation, animal model validation, preclinical safety, and mechanism of action research of biosynthetic raw materials such as B-nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) and urolithin A, providing systematic and traceable basic research data for the upstream and downstream of the industry chain, and continuously promoting the scientific, standardized, and industrialized process of active raw materials.
